Today I was not O.K.

One word....attack. Spiritual attack that is. You know, you'd think the enemy would get a little more creative. Maybe pick something new to come at me with. A new trick. But no. I am attacked in the same areas every stinkin' time. And you would think I could see it comin', be prepared or at least know what to do when attack comes. But again, no. I am surprised every time, never prepared and I trip all over my spiritual feet when it comes to defending myself.

Ugh.

I won't go into all the details right now. But I promise, I will. I'm just too tired. But know this. I am seriously ticked at the enemy and I am over him. Done. Today I locked shields with a dear, dear friend and we prayed. We stood in agreement that we, as believers in Christ, are not sentenced to "life without parole" in the same areas of bondage over and over and over again. Christ died for all my crap. All my sin. All my struggles. All my hurt. All of it. Died. And then rose victoriously. I've said it before and I'll say it again - The devil is a defeated foe. Today he had his way with me, but now he is back in his place. Defeated. He has no power over me.

The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

Walk victorious.

  4. I totally hear you...I feel like I go through that as well. The same old issues over and over and I fall for it, but we need to rise victorious because the battle is already one! Praise be to the Lord! Let today be a better day! :)

  5. that stinkin enemy does that doesn't he! That is until we find our freedom from it in Christ and then he gets frustrated that it doesn't work anymore so he starts trying something else! And we know that no weapon formed against shall prosper!

  6. Thanks for sharing this! I was encouraged. I don't know if you knew, but my wife Lindsay and I are going to be attending the 5 week new staff training with Crusade in less than a week. Throughout the course of this week I have had a 48 hour stomach virus, two flat tires and I got fired from my job on Wednesday. The same job that I thought I was going to be able to continue till December while we start our support raising process. The enemy was messing with us all week. But you said it!! HE IS DEFEATED!! If God is for us who can stand against us?

I always enjoy reading your blog. Thanks for your encouragement!

  7. Hey Becky, he isn't very creative is he. It makes me so mad when he goes and picks on one of my precious sisters in the Lord! He has picked on me the same way for years and I am finally realizing how to defeat him in that area! I am so glad we are victorious over him and Jesus paid the price for us! We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus! Love you!
