Responding In Faith To Sickness

There are an astounding number of people in my life right now who need healing of some kind. I am overwhelmed my the many cases of cancer I have heard of the past three weeks. It just upsets me so.

This week the tummy bug hit our house, too. Never cool. But this virus prompted me to grab my sheath and shield and get my fightin' words out.

Several times I have posted Scriptures of faith about healing. This morning, I sat with those out and wrote them into a prayer. So from journal to screen, I want to share for you to have, as well.

Cancer and other sicknesses may come as a surprise to us, but nothing surprises our Almighty God. Instead of responding in fear today, I respond in faith. Holding up the sword of Truth. My face painted Braveheart blue.

Be blessed today, warrior.

Lord, I praise you. The Great Physician! My Healer! Thank you that in the day of trouble you deliver us. You protect us and keep us alive. You sustain us on our sick bed and in our illness you restore us (Ps. 41:1-3) When we call to you Lord, you answer us. You are with us in trouble. You rescue us and honor us. Thank you that you satisfy us with long life and show us your salvation. (Ps 91: 14-16) Bless the Lord, O my soul! I will not forget your benefits! You forgive my iniquities and you heal all of my disease! You satisfy us with good so our youth is renewed like the eagles. (PS 103:1-5) Oh, Lord, I incline my ear to your Word! I keep it within my heart. It brings life to me and brings healing to all who find it. (Pr. 4:20-22) No weapon formed against me shall prosper or succeed (Is 54:17) because I receive mercy and find grace in time of need. (Heb 4:16) I am not anxious about anything, I have no fear of bad news, my heart is steadfast trusting in you, Lord. In everything, by prayer and supplication with great thanksgiving, I make my requests known to God. And Your peace guards my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. (Ps 112:7; Phil 4:6-7) For Jesus, You are the same yesterday, today and forevermore! (Heb 13:8) You bore our sins in Your body on the tree that we might die to sin and live to righteousness! By Your wounds we are healed! Hallelujah! (1 Peter 2:24) And we have confidence, that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us and if we know that if you hear us, then we know we have the requests that we asked. (1 John 5:14-16) I pray that all will go well and that we would all be in good health as all goes well with our souls (3 John 1:2) Thank you, Lord that you watch over your Word. Thank you that it does not return to you empty, but it succeeds its purpose. It accomplishes the thing for which you sent it. (Is 55:11) Today we pray. And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick. (James 4:7) We give thanks to you Lord. We call upon your great name. Glory is in your Holy name. Let the hearts seek you and rejoice! In Jesus Name, Amen. (Ps 105:1-4)
