The past week I have clocked four + hours writing two blog posts that will probably never publish.
I don't know, maybe the Lord had me write them just for Him. Or just for me. Or both. Mmm. He is teaching me a lot.
We have had a ton of life happen all of a sudden. Sickness, money, Mamaw, travel, marriage. Need I say more?
And I am heading out of town to see one of my dearest who lives in Kentucky. I am trying hard to squeeze in the last few weeks of summer...aren't you?
So can we just pray together? I open this blog up for your requests. I hope you will share a few things.
Will you pray for us, too? We need wisdom. Above all today...wisdom.
And I have 100% confidence in my answer. James says it plain and clear...
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. (v.5-7)
Pray that I will receive wisdom, that I will have ears to hear my Jesus, and that I will not doubt.
OK...I want to pray for you. And when you post, pray for the comments above you, too. Even if it is an unspoken request...just say..."unspoken". I want to lift your sweet name up to the Father.
Love love love...

Hey, Becky. Sorry to hear about all that's been weighing on you. I'll be praying for you. And if you could, just pray for my semester this year. With five classes, a possible internship, applying/preparing for a semester abroad, and looking for a job (and hopefully working), I'll have my plate pretty full. Hope you and the family are doing great. Lots of love, and God bless! <3
ReplyDeleteSweet Lord Jesus, I lift up my sweet friend. I pray you would cover her with your peace as she faces these new semesters and all of her travels abroad. Guide her by your Spirit to a new job. Fill her to over flow. In Jesus Name...
DeleteAren't you so ready to go Home, away from all this mess? Oh, I am. I willbe praying for wisdom for Becky as well as God's enabling for M. Cross. He has a way of expanding our time and our efforts in supernatural ways! As for me, I'm needing clarity and direction right now, especially relating to our family and where we're headed. We're taking our sweet "adopted" son to college this week but there are many obstacles in his way, including a biological mother who is keeping us wrapped up in court. Please pray for the truth tobe revealed in all circumstances and for God's Will to be accomplished above all else. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteLord Jesus, I pray for Kristen. Lord you love her so much. I pray for her family as they face the courts. Give them FAVOR. I pray justice would be had for this case. Thank you for their willingness to walk into hard places for your name's sake. I ask for TRUTH TO BE REVEALED, in Jesus Name...
DeleteLift up a family who just lost their 48 year old husband and father in an accident. Pray for strength and comfort for the mom who must now raise a 15 year old boy and a 13 year old special needs son on her own.
ReplyDeleteOh Lord, I pray that your would bring great comfort to this sweet family who has lost their dad. How hard. I pray for strength as they face all of the grief that is to come. Thank you Lord that you are all knowing. That you are there with them and for your great love for them. Bless them Lord Jesus.
DeletePraying with you, Becky. Been following your blog and am always inspired and encouraged. Please pray for our family as we seek wisdom for our church plant and that the Lord would heal us as a church.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Amy
Lord, thank you for sweet Amy. I pray for her family as they, too, seek wisdom from you. Give them wisdom and guidance for their chuch plant and I pray that you would bring significant healing and wholeness to their church body. In Jesus Name....
DeletePraying for wisdom and peace for your family, Becky! And for Amy's family's church plant & healing for the church.
ReplyDeleteHebrews 12:1-2 - let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith
And we could use prayer as we just found out last week that we're expecting our 2nd child. We'd love prayer for health for the baby, and relief for the nausea for me. Thank you!
Praying for the sweet new life who God is knitting together. May each stage of development play out perfectly as God intended. Be with mom and relieve her nausea as she takes care of her first child and prepares for this baby.
ReplyDeleteI could use prayer for life in general. As a nanny, I have grown close to so many kids but still am single and childless. I would love for that to change, to have a family of my own. I don't say that aloud often but think it every day. Also, I've been technically "homeless" since May when my last family moved away. I have been house sitting (one reason that I chose not to find a new place) for most of the summer but need direction about where to put down roots next. I am still looking for a new family to care for next year so that I have stable, reliable income. But my biggest need is to draw closer to God. I have not be seeking his face as I should. I need to study, read, pray, and focus on Him. Thanks!
Hey Becky, I ran into Brent today. ; ) Yes, he is ok. He told me some of the things going on. I was praying for you today before I even read this, and just prayed for you again now, sweet, sweet friend. Love you!
